ReGeneratIoN of NeiGhbourhoods through placE-based appRoaches

The core mission of GINNGER is to promote sustainable neighborhoods characterized by low emissions, accessibility, and inclusiveness through tailored regeneration solutions. These neighborhoods will not only be environmentally friendly but also reduce polluting emissions and encourage the inclusion of a wide range of community groups. Achieving this goal relies on the implementation of specific measures designed to address the particular needs of each location.

An essential component of the project is the promotion of active participation in collaborative processes for neighborhood revitalization, facilitated by the development of a co-creation methodology. The community's voice plays a crucial role in building sustainable neighborhoods, and GINNGER is committed to involving residents and other stakeholders in decision-making and the execution of regeneration projects. To facilitate this process, a co-creation methodology is being developed to empower the local community.

Technology will also play a central role in neighborhood revitalization. GINNGER aims to use digital solutions to simplify the planning, visualization, monitoring, and evaluation of regeneration projects. This will enable more efficient and effective resource management and continuous monitoring of progress.

To ensure the effectiveness of the proposed solutions, pilot projects will be carried out in six different locations: Langreo (Spain), Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Massagno (Switzerland), Murcia (Spain), Orte (Italy), and Paris (France). These pilot projects will demonstrate the effectiveness of the solutions and their adaptability to diverse local contexts, providing solid and reliable results.

Once solid results are achieved, GINNGER is committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability and expansion of its solutions. This includes the development of business plans to ensure the continuity of these solutions, the dissemination of results, and the exchange of knowledge with similar projects.

The GINNGER project represents an exciting initiative that aspires to transform the way we revitalize our neighborhoods, with a special focus on sustainability, inclusion, and active community participation. These objectives bring us closer to a future of more sustainable and vibrant neighborhoods.
