MultiHome was presented at an expert meeting with

representatives of the Sustainable Energy Development Agency and the Austrian Energy Agency

The Regional Service Hub for home renovation “MultiHome” in the Plovdiv region, developed under the MultiHome project, was presented by its Coordinator to experts from the Austrian Energy Agency. The meeting was organized by the Bulgarian Sustainable Energy Development Agency, a long-standing partner of the Energy Agency of Plovdiv in its project activities.

The main topic of the meeting was the operation of one-stop-shops (OSSs) for energy renovation of single- and multi-family residential buildings in Bulgaria as well as exchange of experience and ideas for future cooperation.

The representatives of the Austrian Energy Agency were introduced to the integrated customer-centered home renovation service "MultiHome" in Plovdiv Region, offering energy consultations for citizens for integrated home renovation, heating refurbishment and RES deployment, and energy communities. The challenges related to the national renovation programme were discussed, as well as the future prospects of how the renovation of the housing stock will continue without state funding support given that its future is uncertain.

The experts of the Austrian Energy Agency were also interested in the integrated MultiHome platform connecting homeowners with technical experts, renovation contractors and HVAC and RES installers, as well as financial institutions.

The experts were unanimous that bilateral cooperation and exchange would continue with the aim of improving and driving forward the policies for energy renovation of the residential building stock and their supporting services.
